چکیده

is the need to share and utilize it among the members of the scientific community. The concept of science, either basic or applied, implicates its utility for the development of the society. This is the reason why no discovery should stay private and the public access needs to be established. It is a kind of exchange which benefits the authors and the scientific community. The investigators gain because thanks to the propagation of their works they obtain fame and prestige and the community gains a new knowledge. Once the investigation is completed the researchers use the communication channels to spread the results. Among them, the articles published in scientific journals are the most common and their advantage is that they give a feedback to the researcher by calculating the impact factor of the work. Different criteria are continuously being analyzed to increase the propagation and the quality of the scientific journals (see for example GiménezToledo, Rodríguez-García, & de la Moneda Corrochano, 2009; Giménez-Toledo, Román-Román, & Alcain-Partearroyo, 2007; Jiménez Contreras, Delgado López-Cozar, Ruiz Pérez, Rodríguez García, & de la Moneda Corrochano, 2009). Taking into account the increase in the research activity (Jiménez-Contreras, Moya Anegón, & Delgado López-Cózar, 2003) it is crucial to distinguish between the works which quality is high and other which quality is lower. Traditionally, the most important method to evaluate the quality of the work was the peer review, also called the experts review. According to Fernández Cano (1995) one of its most important functions is the selection of Analysis of the relationship between the number of citations and the quality evaluated by experts in psychology journals

actively and consciously control their own learning processes in terms of cognition, motivation and behaviour (Zimmerman, 1998; 2000). It matters not only for autonomous learners, but also for learning in social contexts. In the case of a classroom, the selfregulation process does not concern only students, but also teachers (De la Fuente & Justicia, 2007; De la Fuente et al., 2007), because th...

Role of the G-protein and tyrosine kinase--Rho/ROK pathways in 15-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid induced pulmonary vasoconstriction in hypoxic rats.

It has been previously reported by us that hypoxia activates lung 15-lipoxygenase (15-LO), which catalyzes arachidonic acid to 15-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (15-HETE), leading to the constriction of pulmonary artery (PA). Rho-associated serine/threonine kinase (ROK), a downstream effector of small GTPase RhoA that may be modulated by G-protein and tyrosine kinase, plays an important role in s...

serves to help students’ motivation in the teaching and learning processes. The concept of critical thinking arises from the practice of reflective thinking (Leung & Kember, 2003; Phan, 2007, 2008a), where this construct has been shown to relate positively to students’ academic success (Lee & Loughran, 2000). Critical thinking helps individuals to think and analyse critically about their own le...

all students the opportunity for success. The complexities of being an effective teacher today are related to questions such as: what motivates teachers to choose and persevere in this profession? how do they meet the conflicting challenges of “high-stakes testing” and simultaneously be accountable to an increasingly diverse population in their classrooms? Thus, the primary aim of this study is...

Surfactant-Aided Phosphoric Acid Pretreatment to Enable Efficient Bioethanol Production from Glycyrrhiza Glabra Residue

Glycyrrhiza glabra residue (GGR) was efficiently subjected to concentrated phosphoric acid (PA) pretreatment with/without surfactant assistance, and promising results were obtained following separate enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation (SHF) of the biomass. Pretreatment was carried out using 85 % PA either at 50 or 85 °C with 12.5 % solid loading for 30 min. In parallel experiments, ...
